What are N-Glycans?

N-Glycans are polysaccharides linked to Asn which compose the glycome of animal cells.  They play key roles in intercellular signaling and recognition, immune response, and disease transmission.  The number of research applications for N-glycans is growing exponentially, however N-glycan synthesis is a rigorous and expensive process.  Chemily Glycoscience is developing specialized chemo-enzymatic techniques for N-glycan synthesis to increase the availability of these products for research applications.
